As part of Mount Gambier High School’s ongoing commitment to student wellbeing, safety and positive relationships, a whole-school Bullying Audit will open on Tuesday 15 September 2026 and be conducted during Weeks 9 and 10 this term.
This survey provides students with an important opportunity to raise concerns about bullying and harassment, whether they have experienced it themselves or witnessed it happening to others. The information gathered will help the school monitor student wellbeing, identify areas of concern, and respond with appropriate support, programs and strategies.
The survey is anonymous and can be completed online by students either at school or at home. Students are encouraged to complete the survey, even if they have not experienced bullying, as all responses help us build a clearer understanding of student experiences across the school.
The survey asks students to reflect on any incidents of bullying or harassment they may have experienced or observed in the classroom or school yard. Where students identify individuals contributing to bullying behaviours, these matters may be followed up by members of the Senior Leadership team. In some cases, restorative conversations may be held to support positive relationship-building and behaviour change.
Where a student is identified as contributing to bullying on three or more occasions, a parent/caregiver meeting will be organised and a support plan developed to encourage positive behavioural choices.
Importantly, data from the survey will also be used to review and strengthen the school’s policies, procedures and wellbeing supports.
