As the end of the school year draws closer, preparations are well underway for the Mount Gambier High School Year 12 Formal. Our Year 12 Formal Committee has been working hard to plan a memorable evening to celebrate the achievements and milestones of the Class of 2026.
Families are warmly invited to join us at The Barn Palais on Saturday 14 November 2026 for this special occasion. Guests may arrive from 6.00pm, with doors opening at approximately 6.30pm. During the evening, each Year 12 student will be presented with a certificate in recognition of their time at Mount Gambier High School.
The official school function will be held from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and will include:

a two-course dinner

presentation of Year 12 certificates

formal speeches
As this is an official school event, no alcohol will be available during the formal proceedings. From 9.00pm, the formal component concludes and celebrations will continue with a DJ until 11.00pm. The venue bar will open at this time, with alcohol available only to guests who present valid identification.

When booking, families will be asked to nominate a table name and advise of any dietary requirements. Students wishing to sit together should organise a shared table name before purchasing tickets and ensure the same name is entered for each booking.
Initially, tickets will only be available for Stage 2 students and their parents/caregivers, with a maximum of 9 guest tickets per family (excluding the Year 12 student). Families wishing to purchase up to five additional tickets may register their interest with the school and will be placed on a waitlist. If extra tickets become available after 6 November, families will be notified through the TryBooking system.
Photography
Frank Monger of MSP Photography will be available in The Barn gardens from 5.00pm for individual and family portraits.
The official Class of 2026 group photograph will be taken promptly at 6.20pm, so all students are asked to be present and ready at this time.
A photo booth will also be available from 9.00pm for students and families to enjoy during the remainder of the evening.
Dress Code
Students and guests are asked to wear formal or smart attire appropriate for the occasion.
We look forward to celebrating this very special milestone with our Year 12 students and their families and recognising the achievements of the Class of 2026.
