On Friday, 20 March, Mount Gambier High School joined schools across Australia in celebrating Harmony Day—a time for everyone to recognise and take pride in the diversity, respect, and sense of belonging that makes our school community so special.
Students and staff wore a splash of orange, symbolising unity and the message that “Everyone Belongs.” Our Wellbeing Centre and Student Office were filled with vibrant displays, sharing stories, cultures, and traditions from across our community. These displays will remain throughout the coming weeks, so we encourage everyone to take time to visit, learn, and appreciate the experiences that shape and enrich our school.
Special thanks to Ms Lynch for preparing delicious cultural treats, which were enjoyed by all and certainly added to the festive spirit of the day. We also extend our gratitude to Ms Moon for her time, care, and organisation—ensuring that Harmony Day was not just a celebration, but a thoughtful experience for every student.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, participated, and helped make Harmony Day such a meaningful occasion. Let’s continue to show respect for each other and recognise the strength that comes from our diverse and inclusive school community.
