Planning for life beyond school is an exciting milestone, and on Wednesday 29 July our senior school families came together for the Senior School SACE and Pathways Information Evening to learn more about the opportunities available to students as they prepare for 2027 and beyond.
The evening provided families with valuable information about the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), Course Counselling, subject selection, vocational learning opportunities and the many pathways available after school, helping students make informed decisions about their future.
We were delighted to welcome representatives from several local education and industry organisations who shared their knowledge and spoke with families about the opportunities available. Thank you to Luke McLaughlin from Group Training Employment (GTE), Ally Skeer from TAFE SA, Peta Crewe from Adelaide University, and Lynette Corletto, Tom Sutterby and Chrissy Jachmann from the Limestone Coast Technical College for taking the time to support our students and families. While representatives from SYC were unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, we appreciate their ongoing support with our school and students.
Families also had the opportunity to meet with members of the Mount Gambier High School Senior School team to discuss individual questions, seek advice and establish points of contact for ongoing support throughout the Course Counselling process.
We sincerely thank all of our presenters for their continued support of our students and school community. We also thank Flinders University for providing a range of brochures and resources to assist families as they navigate the exciting journey of planning for life after school.
