R U OK? Day 2026 was one of the best years I have seen during its six years at MGHS. I am incredibly proud of our school community and the way everyone came together to support such an important cause.

This year, MGHS raised almost$700 for suicide prevention. It was fantastic to see students and staff connecting, having fun and embracing everything the day had to offer. Seeing everyone come together has been one of the highlights of my year so far.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible:

  • The Wellbeing Team for weeks of planning and support.

  • The Rapid Relief Team for providing a free lunch for our whole school community.

  • Staff and local businesses who generously donated baked goods and donated other items.

  • Nick for planning the annual staff vs students sporting event. Congratulations to the staff for winning the R U OK? Day Trophy for the fourth year running!

  • The Independent Kitchen Group for planning and baking so many delicious goodies.

  • Kathryn and her year 12 legends for the entertainment.

  • The Home Economics staff for sharing their kitchen space with us.

  • And finally, the entire MGHS community for coming together, getting involved and embracing the spirit of R U OK? Day.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. Your generosity and support helped make R U OK? Day 2026 such a memorable and successful day! 💛
