This semester’s showcase features performances from two Year 7 classes as well as our Years 9, 10, 11, and 12 dancers. Everyone has been working incredibly hard to bring their choreography visions to life and to learn and apply new dance techniques.
A special shout-out goes to the 9/10 Dance class: out of 27 students, not a single one dances outside of school! This speaks volumes about the safe, supportive environment MGHS offers, where students are empowered to express, develop ideas, and work together to achieve something special. The dedication shown by all our dancers is something to celebrate!
Our advanced 9/10/11/12 class will be performing a powerful lyrical routine that truly hits you in the feels. Don’t forget the tissues—there’s hardly a dry eye during rehearsals!
A matinee excursion for Year 7/8/9 students is in the works for Wednesday, 10th June at 1:30pm. Thank you in advance to staff helping supervise—your support is always appreciated.

Unleashed captures the power of breaking boundaries and stepping beyond limitation. Presented by the dance students of Mount Gambier High School, Unleashed explores the strength, confidence, and individuality that emerges when dancers are given the freedom to fully express themselves. Through a dynamic blend of commercial hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical styles, each performance embodies energy, attitude, and unapologetic presence. Unleashed is not only a celebration of fierce and fearless movement, but also a reflection of a new generation of dancers rising with purpose and power. Revealing what happens when potential is no longer held back—it is set free, it is amplified, it is unleashed.
