Parents and caregivers are warmly invited to our exciting Year 7 Museum Exhibition in Week 11, on Wednesday 8 April from 4:30–5:30pm.
This term, Year 7 students have been exploring the mysteries and wonders of Ancient Egypt in their Global Perspectives lessons. Their project invites them to take on the role of historians: each student has researched an ancient Egyptian artefact of their choice, crafted a historically accurate replica, and created a museum-style plaque to showcase the story and significance of their item. To finish, every student will also present a short oral summary about their chosen artefact—bringing history to life!
The exhibition is a highlight of the term, where all the creative work and research is put on display for families to enjoy. You’ll be able to:
-
Tour our “museum” and see student-made artefacts firsthand
-
Read the informative plaques (authored by our students!)
-
Listen to students as they share the purpose, history, and relevance of their artefacts
As a special bonus, nibbles will be catered by our 7.4 HPE class.
This is a relaxed, drop-in event—come celebrate the creativity, knowledge, and pride of our Year 7s! We look forward to seeing you and sharing the journeys our students have taken through ancient history.
